Points of interest

1. Trailhead

Departure from the parking lot of the Aubigny sports hall.

2. Deadvigil

The origin of Mortevieille would date from the Gallo-Roman era. In the XNUMXth century, it was a village of tanners and saddlers, people who worked leather thanks to the proximity of the water from the small stream in the garden (currently the Mortevieille stream) and the surrounding fountains, in especially that of Pissette. The latter, probably built in the XNUMXth century by the inhabitants of the locality, takes its name from its perpetual flow.

3. Le Plessis

The locality of Le Plessis for which we have little information but which, by its name, would also date back to the same Gallo-Roman period; this name generally designating an enclosure or sometimes a fortification.

4. The Metairie

La Métairie is mentioned in the parish registers of Aubigny from 1686 and this term designates a farm held by a sharecropper, that is to say a farmer who shares the fruits of the estate halfway with his owner.
