Fontenelle Abbey
Abbey founded in 1210 by Guillaume de Mauléon, lord of Talmont, and his wife Béatrice de Machecoul de la Roche sur Yon and Luçon. Dedicated to the Virgin Mary under the name Notre Dame des Fontenelles due to the presence of a small ferruginous spring.
