A journey between botanical past and living nature!
The exhibition invites you to rediscover the richness of plants through time. Presented in addition to the exhibition “HerbEnLoire, treasures found”, it highlights exceptional herbarium plates from Georges Durand, carefully preserved by the Natural History Museum and the Departmental Conservation of Vendée Museums.

(I.e. A bridge between past and present : these large-format historical documents are compared with contemporary photographic herbariums, produced by the Brest Botanical Conservatory and amateur botanists. A unique way to appreciate the timeless beauty of flowers, whether common, protected or from peat bogs.
🔎 A scientific and committed look : each species is accompanied by texts detailing its characteristics, its habitat, and the threats that weigh on it. An invitation to become aware of the fragility of our plant heritage.
