Le Grand R, a place for entertainment and artistic creativity in the heart of La Roche-sur-Yon!
Each season, Le Grand R programs around sixty shows (for approximately 170 performances) in all disciplines of the performing arts (theatre, dance, music, circus, puppetry, young audiences, etc.) while ensuring that it illustrates the diversity of aesthetics and artistic movements.
Le Grand R programs internationally renowned artists, leading figures in their disciplines, and supports the development of emerging artists. Since 2020, it has been running a local, creative festival dedicated to children and young people across the 12 municipalities of the Greater Rouen area: the Roulez jeunesse! festival.
The Grand R has three venues in La Roche-sur-Yon: the Salle du Manège (880 seats), the Italian-style Municipal Theatre (440 seats) and the Gueffier house (headquarters of the Literature & Writing Hub in the Pays de Loire region).
