Located in the city center of La Roche-sur-Yon, Le Concorde offers a program for the general public favoring auteur cinema in its original version.
Created in 2006 by the City of La Roche-sur-Yon and the commune of Aubigny-les-Clouzeaux, the Public Establishment for Cultural Cooperation in Cinematography (EPCCCY) is tasked with coordinating a cultural cinematographic project across the entire Yon region, with the aim of achieving departmental, regional, national, and international reach. Its project is based on three main axes:
-Operation of the Le Concorde cinema: art house cinema with 4 screens, labeled Research & Discovery, Heritage & Repertoire, Young Audiences, and Europa Cinemas, attracting around 70 admissions per year.
-Organization of the La Roche-sur-Yon International Film Festival: every year in October, the festival presents films in preview, attracting nearly 30 spectators.
-Image education actions: coordination of initiatives such as School and Cinema, College at the Cinema, and projects with various educational establishments and social actors, from primary to high school.
