Ideal for meeting with friends or family, three beautiful houses of character, quiet, in the charming hamlet of La Girardière, consisting of a castle and its outbuildings, on a magnificent site, adorned with hundred-year-old trees (14 ha park, woods and meadows)

The three houses offer a total area of 340 m2. They are furnished and decorated with respect for their old character. The volumes, surfaces and brightness of the rooms are very pleasant.

- The Logis des Ponnes (180 m2) accommodates 8 people. It has 3 bedrooms (2 with 1 bed of 140 and 1 with 4 beds of 90), 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets
-The Logis de l'Ecuyer (120 m2) accommodates 8 people. It has 4 bedrooms (1 with 1 bed of 160, 1 with 1 bed of 140 and 2 with 2 beds of 90), 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets
- The Orangery (40 m2) accommodates 4 people. It has 1 bedroom (1 bed of 140) and a mezzanine (1 sofa of 140), 1 bathroom and 1 WC

The Logis des Ponnes has a large dining room and a large kitchen. In summer, its garden furniture can also accommodate the whole group.

The houses are very well equipped. If you feel like cooking, you have all the necessary equipment.
A "cooking background" (salt, pepper, spices, oil, vinegar, sugar, tea, coffee, chocolate, infusions) will allow you to start your stay pleasantly.
A raclette machine, a crepe maker and a stone grill are at your disposal.
When you arrive, you will find the beds made and you will have shower towels, hand towels, bath mats, as well as kitchen towels.
Beach towels for the pool are not provided: remember to put them in your suitcases!
Outside, you have garden tables and chairs, a charcoal barbecue and deck chairs.

When you leave, the three houses must be returned in their order as you found them on your arrival. The dishes must also be clean and tidy. However, you do not have to clean before leaving: end-of-stay cleaning is included in our prices.

In cold weather, the houses are heated by a closed hearth, two stoves and a fireplace supplemented by electric radiators. Firewood is provided. We ask our travelers to commit to an eco-responsible attitude by booking.

The washing machine is located in a separate room near the houses.

A large shared heated swimming pool of 13,5 mx 5 m is at your disposal, from April to October (it is not in use the rest of the year). It is very pleasant to bathe from April and also in low season because the shelter is large and perfectly retains the heat. When the sun is shining, we fully discover the pool and you swim in a beautiful green setting.

Access to the entire Domaine de La Girardière is free (park, woods, meadows). Apart from ourselves who live in the castle, there is no other inhabitant in the hamlet. The houses are completely independent and are not terraced: they are spread over the hamlet and each have an unfenced private garden. The roads are more than 500 m away and the calm is absolute. It is not uncommon to see deer, squirrels, hedgehogs, owls and many other birds depending on the season.
The park is planted with sequoias, blue cedars, weeping Himalayan pines, silver lime trees, purple beeches, magnolias, walnut trees, chestnut trees, yews, ... The wood is planted with oaks, hornbeams, beeches, chestnut trees, hazel trees,. .. Many alleys allow you to walk there.

The sky at night is absolutely magnificent. The property is also located very close to the observatory of the Astronomical Center of Vendée, which is installed there due to the absence of light pollution and a mild temperature throughout the year.

The banks of the Yon are directly accessible on foot from the hamlet of La Girardière: they offer a pleasant walk in all seasons and in summer, they allow you to cool off in the shade of the trees, with your feet in the water. from the river. Fishing is possible.
Many other routes by bike and on foot are also possible.

Nearby: possibility of horse-drawn carriage rides and hikes with donkeys.
