In La Roche-sur-Yon, Les P'tits Ventres de Terre invites you to enjoy a warm and friendly culinary experience, highlighting local products and the authenticity of the Vendée region. For several years, the restaurant has been able to retain its customers thanks to a unique concept, combining tradition, creativity and originality.
A concept born from a passionate chef
Behind Les P'tits Ventres de Terre, we find Lionel Guilbaud, a chef with a remarkable career. Former chef at the Plaza Athénée in Paris, Lionel chose to return to Vendée in the 80s. In 1982, he took over an inn in Saint Vincent-Sterlanges and created an innovative concept: small terracotta pots to present his daily specials. "The earth is a bond that does good, it is warm, friendly and above all family-oriented," he explains. This concept of small pots has evolved, and today, it embodies the restaurant Les P'tits Ventres de Terre, a place where you feel at home.
A Unique Culinary Experience
During your visit, Lionel and his team invite you to a unique sensory experience. "When the pot arrives, you open the lid and an irresistible smell comes out. You taste it delicately with a spoon, with a piece of crusty bread." The chef recommends not to miss the revisited Vendée préfou with scrambled egg and fresh Lalbenque truffles, or the chicken with chestnuts accompanied by truffle tagliatelle. "The difference between a plate and a pot is that the pot keeps your dish hot for longer, you can chat without your meal getting cold," he explains.
Les P'tits Ventres de Terres: a story of passion and Vendée cuisine
Over the years, Les P'tits Ventres de Terre has become much more than a restaurant, it is a true love story between Lionel and Vendée cuisine. "I spend time. I observe, I smell, I taste," he says. A passionate chef who ensures that each product is sublimated, in order to give us an unforgettable experience. All in a friendly, family and comforting atmosphere.
