Permanent exhibition of stuffed birds from the collection of Charles Payraudeau, French naturalist (1798-1865).

La Chaize-le-Vicomte received in the form of a bequest some 2000 stuffed birds and 71 marine and terrestrial molluscs, more than 400 specimens are presented to the public. How many will you recognize?

A stone's throw from the church, visit the astonishing collection of zoologist Charles Payraudeau composed of more than 1200 stuffed birds from the western Palaearctic and 800 stuffed birds from the southern hemisphere (equatorial Africa, South America, Australia, etc. .).
