On the shores of a Bohemian lake, the water nymph Rusalka falls in love with a Prince she sees bathing. She begs the witch Ježibaba to transform her into a woman, but the pact is cruel: metamorphosed, she will lose her voice; and if love fails, she will be damned. The Prince takes her to the castle, captivated by her silent beauty. But a foreign Princess seduces him, and Rusalka, rejected, finds herself excluded from all sides: neither woman nor fairy. Between the world of humans and the realm of water, between desire and curse, destinies shift toward a breathtakingly beautiful conclusion.
