Temporary exhibition

When her lover goes to war, the potter's daughter Dibutade traces the outline of her beloved's shadow in charcoal and gives birth to the drawing. Shadow was taught in the 19th century at the School of Fine Arts. It haunted Romantic works, was colored by the Impressionists and became a work in its own right in the shadow theaters of the end of the century. Shapes, contrasts, volumes: contemporary works presented in the exhibition will question the photographic writing of shadow.
