Come and hunt for the hidden heritage motifs in the monumental fresco created by Ali in Rue Clemanceau in La Roche-sur-Yon

As part of the creation of a monumental urban and plant work carried out by Ali in rue Clemenceau in La Roche-sur-Yon from April to June 2025, come and find the small elements of heritage which inspired the artist.

To familiarize yourself with his creative process, Arthur-Louis Ignoré, in partnership with the Tourist Office, is offering a motif hunt throughout the city. The artist identified and collected shapes from the urban landscape, which he then incorporated into his mural. It's up to you to find the origin of these motifs using a map and the clues drawn by the artist. Thanks to a map created by Ali, you can find elements of the mural in the city's urban heritage.

Document available at the tourist office. Free.
Free access all summer.

Arthur-Louis Ignoré draws his inspiration from plant forms present in nature as well as in architectural ornamentation and the artisanal practices derived from them. He integrates these elements into his works by combining them with geometric patterns and strong symmetry. Mainly created on the ground, his creations mobilize various materials such as road marking paint, podotactile nails, and even reused stones. Through this work, he seeks to reaffirm the place of ornament in the aesthetics of contemporary cities, drawing on the very materials that compose them.
