Like a cloudless sky

The exhibition “Like a Cloudless Sky” sheds light on climate issues.

Since the late 18th century, clouds have fascinated scientists and artists alike. Cirrus, cumulus, stratus: these celestial formations have been immortalized by painters and photographers, capturing their ephemeral beauty.

The exhibition "Like a Cloudless Sky" invites you to discover how contemporary artists, inspired by pioneers of the photographic image such as Alfred Stieglitz, capture the elusive essence of clouds. Through a selection of photographs and videos from the collections of the museum and the art library of La Roche-sur-Yon, as well as
loans from public institutions, explore these works which symbolize introspection, loss of bearings or even wonder.
Don't miss this unique opportunity to see four exceptional prints of Alfred Stieglitz's Equivalents, on loan from the Musée d'Orsay as part of the 100 Works for the Climate initiative.
