The tourist office, located at 33 Place Napoléon, welcomes visitors and advises them on the best activities in the area. On-site, a ticket office offers access to discounted rates for numerous attractions, and a shop showcases local Vendée products (jams, honeys, artisanal soaps, pottery).
Every Friday from July 6th to August 28th, from 16pm to 17:30pm, don't miss the end-of-stay snacks: free tasting of Vendée brioches in the company of a local producer, accompanied by the virtual reality film "Heroes of History".

Among summer activities in La Roche-sur-Yon The most popular option, guided tours, allows visitors to (re)discover the local heritage:
- Place Napoléon – quick visit (free, 30 min): every Monday at 11am, from July 6 to August 24.
- Discovering La Roche-sur-Yon (1h30, €7/€5): every Tuesday at 10:30 am.
- Saint-Louis Church – History and Restoration (1 hour, €5/€3): every Monday at 16 p.m.
- Ascent of the North Tower (200 steps, 30 min, €7): every Friday at 16:15 pm and 17 pm.
- Italian theater (1 hour, €5/€3): every Thursday from July 30 to August 20.
- Pottery of Nesmy (1 hour, €5/€3): every Monday from July 6 to August 17.
Booking is mandatory for most of these visits via the tourist office website.
Visiting differently:

The mechanical bestiary of Place animalsCreated by François Delarozière (who also designed the Machines of the Isle of Nantes), it stands year-round in the basins of Place Napoléon, open daily from 10 am to 21 pm, free of charge. To learn more, visit the "Behind the Scenes" reveals the hydraulic and pneumatic operation of the creatures, every Wednesday at 11am (1 hour, €5/€3).
Other experiences to enjoy this summer:
- A story to savor : gourmet tour of the city centre (2 hours, €15), on July 30 and August 20.
- An offbeat stroll with Napoleon : the city as told by the Emperor himself, with humor (1 hour, Free).
- Visit to an aromatic plant production facility at Aude's, followed by a tasting (free, under 15s).
In the heart of nature:

For outdoor enthusiasts, several summer activities are organized around the Yon Valley:
- Nature walks with Jean-Yves, naturalist guide, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 10am (2 hours, €7/€5).
- Eco-poetic theatrical walk at Coux, Wednesdays July 15 and 21 and Tuesdays August 11 and 18 (2 hours, €10/€6).
- Little rural comedies : free travelling show by the company Les Tulipes, with donkeys, horses and cart, every evening at 19pm.
- Electric bicycle rental From age 12, from €15 for a half-day.

The festival To the Sound of the Yon celebrates its 8th edition at the Moulin de Rambourg with six free concerts, on the first three Thursdays of August (6, 13 and 20 August) starting at 19pm. The Rambourg Mill:

From July 4th to August 30th, the Rambourg MillThe former flour mill, converted in 1912, is open daily for self-guided tours (€3/€2) or 45-minute guided tours (€4/€3). Also worth noting is the... Rambourg Banquet June 28 (farmers' market, entertainment and free concert), as well as the narrated walk “On the roads of Rambourg” on July 29 and August 5.
Workshops, markets and fireworks:

Families can participate in art workshops from the tourist office in July, to watercolor painting in the great outdoors with Jean-Yves, or even to the distillation of aromatic plants (€49, adults). On the gourmet side, the local markets Animate each town in the greater area throughout the week (Aubigny, Landeronde, Les Clouzeaux, Dompierre-sur-Yon, Venansault…). Finally, the fireworks light up the sky from July 4th in
the urban area.

The program of events this summer in La Roche-sur-Yon extends well beyond the city center:
- R.Pop In La Roche-sur-Yon, from July 2nd to 4th, free concerts starting at 22pm.
- The Other Ways in Dompierre-sur-Yon, July 10-11, with a giant sardine feast.
