During the spring holidays in La Roche-sur-Yon , the Tourist Office – Destination La Roche-sur-Yon offers a rich and varied program to discover the destination in a new light. Heritage, nature, art, gastronomy, shows and entertainment fill the month of April, with activities for families, the curious, walkers and culture enthusiasts.

First, the "Discovering La Roche-sur-Yon" tour allows you to explore the iconic sites of this Napoleonic city. Monuments, historical anecdotes, and well-kept secrets punctuate this exploration of the city center. This tour takes place on Mondays, April 20 and 27 , from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. , at a price of €9 for adults and €5 for concessions.
Discovering La Roche-sur-Yon
Next, the spring break program features a new offering at Saint-Louis Church. With the "History and Restoration" tour , visitors will discover the building's history, its construction, and the restoration work underway. This tour is offered on Friday, April 17th and Wednesday, April 22nd , from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM , at a price of €5 for adults and €3 for children.
History & Restoration
Another highlight is the climb up the north tower, offering an exceptional experience. Participants start at the base of the organ, ascend through the roof structure, and reach the top of the tower. This activity takes place on Saturdays, April 18 and 25 , from 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM , with a single price of €5 . Additional dates are also scheduled in May, on May 9, 16, and 30 , at the same time.

Around gastronomy:
Spring break in La Roche-sur-Yon also means indulging in delicious food. The program includes a cooking workshop led by a dietician to teach participants how to prepare beautiful appetizer platters with vegetables. This workshop will take place on Saturday, April 18th , from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM , and is free of charge.
Culinary workshop
In addition, a must-see event is "L'histoire à Croquer" (History to Savor ). This gourmet guided tour combines historical facts with tastings at shops in downtown La Roche-sur-Yon. It takes place on Friday, April 24 , from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. , at a price of €15.

For these holidays, the Tourist Office is also highlighting local skills and artistic encounters. The "Sculptor of the Chaos of Piquet" outing offers the opportunity to meet an artist inspired by the Piquet Valley. This unique outing takes place on Wednesday, April 15th , from 14 pm to 16 pm , and is free of charge.

In the same spirit, a visit to the Nesmy Pottery offers an authentic immersion into the world of an iconic family business since 1840. This visit takes place on Thursday, April 16 , from 14 p.m. to 16 p.m. , at a price of €5 for adults and €3 for concessions.
